morning glory

well, my favorite breakfast joint in town is "morning glory" across from the train station.. besides the great vegetarian/vegan options and awesome cafe man coffee... they usually are playing great music, and most of the time, i havent heard of it, or heard it somewhere and loved it, but didnt know who it was...bout a year ago, i learned about "beirut" who i love, and last week i learned about "neutral milk hotel"..well today was no exception...as i heard the quirkiest voice comin from the speaker... i was instantly in love with it...her name is "joanna newsom" ...here's a little video i found.. it seems i love indie music...the purity is refreshing to my soul...haha..

I love indie music, Beirut is one of my favorites, thay have such a great unique sound you don't hear anymore. You should look into Sufjan Stevens and Broken Social Scene too.

That's funny, Adam used to whine like a little girl when I listened to Beirut. Sufjan Stevens has a beautiful and soothing voice, Broken Social Scene is more of a collective of people, with quite a range, Emily Haines and Leslie Feist are part of them...those ladies have wonderful voices too!

Nice, thanks for sharing. A friend turned me on to her about six months back, her voice is hypnotic. If you get a chance check out Sean Hayes he is one of my favorites. Peace.
